I've looked and can't find a class other than GT1. Basically, a stripped, caged, ESP-prepared 2000 Trans Am. I'm not putting the interior back in, so I'm basically screwed out of all the "stock-ish" classes. No IT either. And, if I'm reading the rules correctly, I'd have to do an engine swap for CMC. All that's left is GT1. And, in that class I'd be a rolling roadblock!

You ***could*** run ITE.....depending on your region....some regions like mine you would be perfect....others have "other ideas" about what ITE is about.....some have under 3 liter rules....some require the car to be a product of another race series prepped to "its" rules.....you have to call the regional office and ask...
GT1 won't float either..as you would be required to have a fuel cell....and it WOULD be a bad idea you are correct on that.... NASA has more "liberal" rules for a car like yours....you could run it in AI or AIX I would think just fine....the NASA boys can chime in.... |
