Dan, what browser are you using? And, just post a link to one of them in this thread and let me take a look.

The "clean up" routine would only run to about 22,500 posts, then it wanted to die. I ran it about a dozen times and that's as far as I got. Hmm.

Sean's post at #21 is a perfect example. I see when I view the source that the text is, indeed, there.

That </span> shouldn't be there, but removing it doesn't fix things. What I do get is an Email image followed by a -->. What makes that seriously weird is that that should be commented out. So it seems that somewhere some comment isn't being interpreted properly or is wrong. I'll try to look more into it later.
