24mm solid rear swaybars, I have a total of 3 looking for new homes. I'm willing to make an even swap for a factory low 20's mm rear bar, I forget what the options are... 21 or 22 mm somewhere in that range would work.
Engine harness is off of an '86 Trans Am. Comes with factory computer, set up for an electric speedometer sender, and a manual transmission. Some heat wrap on a connector or two, melted head temp connector, but overall good condition. Best offer plus shipping, paypal or money order only. Other misc. thirdgen parts available too. Gray interior, some extra TPI parts, '86 wiper motor, smog pump, etc. |

Measuring swaybars sucks. For the longest time I thought factory bars were 22 and 24 mm so when I was just informed that GM made 23 and 24 mm bars I had to go double check my stock and see what I really have.
For reference 23 mm = .90551 in. and 24 mm = .9449 in. I measured the 3 bars on the bushing mount area hoping to get the most accurate results, they were: .941, .926, and .936 in. The bar on my car measures .951" in a few different places. It still looks like all of my bars are 24 mm, unless anyone thinks the .926" bar is actually a 23 mm bar. Does anyone thing its possible to get .020 to .040 inches of buildup on the clean section of the bars? Or is it possible for a rubber bushing to polish .005 to .020 inches of metal off the bars? Or am I being to picky? I already have a deal to swap a 23 mm for one of my 24 mm bars already. Greeze, I think a 21 would be too small for me. Nick, I'll sell all the bars for the same price. I found 1 on ebay for $42 plus another $12 for shipping with a day or so left, so does $40 plus the actual shipping costs sound reasonable? Now that I said that I'm sure the ebay bar will jump to $60... (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/banghead.gif) As for the website, I don't have many pics of the stuff I'm selling right now. It turns out that vilipend link changed a little and we're not allowed to have links in the sigs anymore, so when I 'fixed' it I lost the ability to link altogether. So don't change a link in your sig if you don't have to! Anyone know how UPS wants these things to be packaged? Andy, some of the interior parts are quite different between the Camaro and Firebird. My seats were sold a while ago. The Camaro dash pad has cut outs for the center vents, Firebird doesn't. My extra dash pad has a fairly large cut in it anyway. The Firebird console is rounded and is seperate from the radio pod, the Camaro console is pretty square and is part of the radio pod. I don't have any spare steering wheels. The switches are different colors but might work for you anyway depending on the function, lets narrow down the search and I'll get pics for you. |
