Howdy,

Drawtite hitch for sale. Came from my '99 camaro. It'll work on any 4th gen fbody (according to a couple websites).

Comes with two drawbars w/balls, One is 1+7/8", one is 2".

Its in great shape, no rust, paint is in very good condition, etc. Its all ready to bolt up. Yes Brian, getting the hardware out of the frame rails was kinda a bitch. Magnets, screwdrivers, and being stubborn helped... :-)

I'd like to get $90obo plus shipping if necessary for everything. I'm in Youngstown, OH (44514).

Email me at mark at sccaprepared dot com.

Howdy,

Wow! I'd thought the plastic ties would hold up fine... I was semi-expecting it to arrive without much of the box still there, which was why I fixed everything to the plywood... I wasn't expecting that so much from FedEx being jerks or whatever as much as me needing to fabricate a box...

Anyway from my memory (which is _so_ not perfect), the extra metal tabs were on the front-most bolts on either side. I'm not 100% sure of that though. What I'm even less sure about is if they were between the hitch & the frame (I think so) or under it. I _think_ they were between the hitch and the frame, and were a spacer.

If I were you, I'd hold the thing up in place and see if the plates as spacers helps or not. It should be fairly clear.

Glad to hear it arrived ok despite the zip ties breaking!

Mark

Ah... that sounds familiar. I've heard people talk about shimming the hitch down (up?) to get the alignment like they want it. The front-most bolts are further away and the two rear ones are together, so that sounds right.

One thing I'm curious about, is the receiver is not centered between the 2 sides, it looks to be about two inches over. I don't know yet if the frame rails are off center the same amount so that it nets out, or what. I don't think it really matters just for towing a dinky little trailer, but I am curious to see how that lines up too, when I get it under the car.
