I'd like to get some weight of the nose of my car, so I'm actively looking for an OEM Camaro SS hood ('98 and up only, and MUST BE THE FACTORY HOOD, not aftermarket). I'm willing to drive a bit to get it. Would prefer it not be all cracked up. White would be GREAT, but beggars can't be choosers. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Im sure the factory ss hood is a good bit lighter then the z28. My neighbor has an ss and you can feel the difference just raising the hood. I'm curious to know the difference too.

I'm curious to know the difference too. FWIW, SLP changed the strut rods when they installed the glass hoods. They auctioned off a crate full of strut rods sometime last year, I think. I don't remember the details, but you can't judge the weight just by lifting the hood on the car. |
