Hello folks,

I sold my 93 LT1 to a good buddy of mine. He is nearly in the process of putting in the 6speed I included in the sale and wants to run FS with it. With a stay-at-home wife and 2 kids in grade school he does not have a ton of extra cash (but then again, who does?? (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) )

SO...we are looking for a 93+ (or would a 92 from a vette work?) lt1 flywheel that is usable. It is staying FStock so no stupid power levels.

Also, if a good priced usable clutch and pp came along that would be awesome. Ot if anyone has any of these individual pieces that are usable, that would be nice.

Lastly, any info as far as casting numbers, weights, FS legality and such would be appreciated. I am but a poor little TPI driver....

THANKS!!!

Thanks guys, Mike check you PMs.

Is the LT1 flywheel from the factory a dual-mass one? Is there a standard one that isn't that is FS legal? (I am thinking 'OE replacement' style at a NAPA or something)..

f-body LT1 flywheel is a steel single mass unit that weights roughly 20lbs IIRC.
Meanwhile C4 flywheel is a dual mass unit that weights nearly 40lbs!!! yes its heavy, you don't want dual mass. Deck height is about 0.020" different too. I actually did dual --> single mass conversion on my corvette using stock f-body wheel due to 1) weight 2) rediculous price of dual mass flywheels.
