The short version is that it would have been much easier to install these BEFORE I installed the Unbalanced Engineering Decoupled Torque Arm. They can coexist, but it's difficult to retrofit the SFCs later. Racing season arrived, and I had to cut my losses and move on.
These are the standard 4th gen fbody 3-point bolt-ons, powdercoated black. They will not fit a convertible. They have only been loosely test-fitted. Other than one rear LCA bolt that was snugged, they have never been tightened down or "formed" to my car, and of course they have never been driven. There are a few minor scrapes in the powdercoat from shipping and test fitting. I also drilled one extra mounting hole in the center of the tunnel brace mounting tab on one side. It will be covered up by the tunnel brace and won't show. I painted the bare steel threaded nut-plates with "cold galvanizing" zinc primer and a quick top coat of black just for corrosion protection (they are hidden when installed) and substituted new grade 8 bolts (included) for the grade 5 that SLP supplied. $225 plus shipping sold This post has been edited by sgarnett: Aug 13 2006, 07:50 PM |
