I just got a new EVO RS.
My other car is 95 Z28. Quite a difference between the two. The Evo makes the Z28 feel like a caddy, very brutal suspension over broken up pavement. Low gearing 3500 rpm at 75. Got 24mpg running at 70-75 on the highway. Not that much better than a Z28. Sure likes to eat bugs, the bottom breather of the Z28 is a nice feature around all of the grass hoppers. Very high grip and quick turn in, fast steering. lots of power from about 3000 rpm, feels like it would take the LT1 pretty easily at least up to 100 or so. I think the Z28 has the edge in aerodynamics at highway speeds and greater. Still getting used to the EVO, so I have not pushed it really hard yet, first 600 miles under 5k rpm. Revs to 7k now that I am past 600 miles. Smooth reving engine, AWD not very noticeable but it has an active center diff and in corners you can feel it working some. I think some new shocks, Bilstein would be nice. Some people are converting stock struts to KONI DA. I imagine that would cost cubic dollars. The bilsteins that fit it are a high dollar adjustable type, or they make an OEM Bilstein for the MR version. So far the only mods are a radio and speakers. Anybody want a 95 LT1 with C5 Brakes 1LE stuff and Koni DA's? I guess the new Camaro is too late for me, best of luck with it though. I hope Chevy keeps the weight down like others have pointed out. |

The only way you can bring one in, is as a race car, non plated vehicle. |
