I'm looking for an aftermarket seat. I can no longer stand the OE seat, especially for road trips. Of prime concern is head room (I'm 6'2") and seat base width. I have sat in Mike Farrell's car and liked his seat (Mike chime in with your brand, I have CRS) but want to know other's setups. Also, costs, ease of installation, etc. Post pictures if you have them! (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I put a set of Corbeau CR1's in mine. (used to be called Carrera) They have the flip forward feature too.
I got the wide version. They fit fine between the armrests and the console. I also got the optional shaving of the seat cushion ($50 each). Gained maybe 1/4" of headroom over the stock seats. (every little bit helps when the helmet is touching the t-top) (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Didn't lose any headroom, so that was good! The stock seats curled forward too much for me at the top. These sit up straight. Strano had the best price that I found on them. Arlyn knew the people at the factory and was able to help expedite mine in time for an Evolution class. The seat+bracket was lighter than my electric driver side. And heavier than the stock passenger side. In the end, the pair was exactly the same weight as what I took out. (to the 1/2 lb according to my digital bathroom scale). |
