I spent the cleaning up the front yard and garden. If we can go a couple of days without rain, I think I'll mow the lawn on Sunday. Now I gotta go take some chicken out of the freezer to bbq.

2 hours from here (and all points in between) basically just gets you to world class horse racing and strip clubs. There's all kinds of semi-public and private (practice only) race tracks, but the only motoized vehicles allowed on them have green paint, vertical exhaust pipes, and huge rear tires.
On the plus side for CA, besides racetracks, there is (or was) Gryphon Stringed Instruments in Palo Alto (it's probably good that I don't live in driving range any more), and a little airport south of Santa Cruz with old biplanes for hire. Again, it's probably best that I can't just drive down anytime and plunk down some money to fly in the (aerobatic) Stearman again. |
