Just under 5 minutes of video to show 3.5 hours of taking a 3rd gen camaro from a complete running driving car (with severe subframe to chassis damage, just listen the the noise and watch the LF tire as the car pulls into the driveway) to parts. Everything was pulled off the car. Nuts/bolts were kept with subassemblies, put in labelled bags, etc. Yard was clear by 11:30, chassis was gone same day. Started at 8am, done by 11:30, ate pizza rolls and took a nap.
At 2:30 in we take a quick breakfast break. Enjoy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qvVk7COoS-o Costas cars and such... |

I really hope that frame damage was worth sending it to the junkyard!
'King of the Hill' reference was great. |

I really hope that frame damage was worth sending it to the junkyard! 'King of the Hill' reference was great. Yeah, I got a LOT of hate mail when we first sent it out. Tons of mullet-idiots saying 'I would have bought it!, I coulda fixed it!'. Whatever. Replay the vid, listen to the sound it makes as it comes into the drive. 3rd gens in S. Texas are cheap and plentiful and one where you have to pull the motor and trans and the front subframe, fix the subframe and then form and weld plates in where the subframe bolts to the chassis, then put it back together without the engine and trans and then take it to a frame shop to make sure it is straight and THEN put the tired 150k+ tbi 305 and 5sp back in and then....what do you have? A patched car with a ton of money in it when there are undamaged ones everywhere that are already cheap. Folks act like there weren't a few hundred thousand of those things made. Each year. The parts kept three other 3rd gens on the road so it was worth it. I did have two guys who were a bit persistant and when I bought another 91 camaro to flip (bought for 800$, few quick repairs, sold for 2200$), I emailed both of them. I sent pics and said 'here's your chance! Buy it before we part it out!' (I wasn't going to part it out, it was too nice) and miraculously neither one could come up with the money, were too busy, etc. Everybody talks a good fight on the internet, but when it is time to put up or shut up, it sure does get awfully quiet.
