Grandparents said they would give me there 91miata red/black 5speed flawless interior/exterior and only 19K miles on it. I know its too good of a deal to pass up on, but its kinda depressing because I had my heart set on getting a vette. So it looks like I may be stepping out of the GM scene for a while but not too long. I'll just take all the extra cash from selling my bird and save up until the C6 comes out and the C5 prices take a dump. I've never really raced these things, they any fun to drive in an AutoX/RR environment?

that sounds like a good price on the '92.
if they're starting at $12K then you'd probably be able to get it for less. Say, $11K if you show up w/ cash. I'd recommend staying in AS w/ the C4. I wish I hadn't modified my vette for that reason. BSP gets expensive in a hurry! Not only that, w/ the EVO, STi, and '04 S2000 moving in to AS its turning out to be a well subscribed class. '92's will work nice, even the base suspension and you get to run 17x9.5 on all four corners as opposed to 8.5" in the front for most '93+. You already have the wheels, you'd only need to buy shocks (koni's ~$550) and swaybar ($150-$200). On second thought, I think I'll be running my Z at A&M this weekend. Kumho is recalling the 710's...
