Video from the final Sunday HPDE-3 session at CMP. This was the NASA Mid-Atlantic event on May 5th and 6th.
This was my first visit to CMP. Pretty neat track, very technical. The straights are fairly short, making your exit from the turns very important. Got the lap times down to the 1:56, the top qualifying CMC car was at a 1:54. The car...1992 Camaro 1LE prepped for CMC (sans the complete cage). Weight with driver is 3250 and dyno numbers are 230/299. My hope is to have the car's weight down to 3170-3180 with the full cage and driver. It will be tough...have to lay off the cookies :-) |

It was 35 degrees with a 30 mph wind. I agree on the technical assessment. I see in your video it is still a little slick in spots. And my car car blew an OPTI before my first full lap at speed. I hope you had more fun than I did. Bock |
