Saw the episodes finally... and can't believe the idiot from CA would turn down the sponsor... he needs an italian smack behind the head.
I'm so glad the arrogant **** got eliminated with that technicality... he made me think of the LG kid driver on the other show.
What an ass... I hope he has hard time getting sponsors in real life and that he has to work hard for his $... Prick !

While I have to agree that it was better to see him get the boot, I think that his dad is his real problem. From a few shots in the first show, it's clear that his dad is in the background pumping sunshine up his butt and telling him how great he is. It is unclear to me how much of what he does is his own ideas versus what crap his dad is feeding him.

No doubt. That kid has a definite genetic impedance. I got the impression the old man was living vicariously through the kid.

Wow I actually stayed up late to watch it. Damm show sucks. it just looks like people that don't know how to drive and don't have to worry about slaming somebody. Maybe the racing was good if you were there, but after editing it plain sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

John

After all the hoopla generated, I watched the episode last night ... or all I could.

After the green flag gyro the girl did and then turned around and began lecturing, in a stern voice, the spotters/crew chiefs that drivers needed to stay on course in order to be fast was just a little too much.

But, I got to see Doogie Howser drive!

Yeah, the girl is pretty irritating. Sorta nice to look at, but mostly annoying when she speaks.

At least Tommy Kendall and Rhys Millen actually have some success in motorsports. They sound mostly stupid and contrived too, but I'm more willing to give them the benefit of the doubt with their history.

The show is pretty good I think for what it is... Its certainly 100% better than the other one they did (ButterBall? Fireball? I dunno. The one where you had to hit a lightbulb with a pole and follow directions well), but its still "reality" tv.

I just watched it as well.. I'm not sure how I felt... but, just glad that they are both still there.

I'll echo the host.. I'm pulling for the 'old' dude as well.

I'm rooting for Matt Guiver -- he is a local-to-me autocrosser.
