Not sure if Ron is a member here, but he posted his car for sale yesterday on SCCAforums.com ... he's in the NY/NJ area. I've driven it. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) The car looks great in person, notably the nose and hood which always seem to look like ass on most other F-Bodies (especially black ones).

I saw this car yesterday at Corvette day, it is one of the cleanest cars I've seen. I heard it was for sale but didn't get a chance to meet Ron, probably because I have other bills so I didn't bother.

FWIW, this car has been bought by Eric Simmons (PA area autocrosser). Given Eric's history with cars, it will be for sale again in about a year. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Glad to see it's remaining within the stockpile of east coast FS/ESP F-Bodies!

As Eric was driving away last night, I found it hard to believe I actually decided to sell this car. I ran that same car for 9 years! I guess I decided it was time to try something new. So far I've learned that:

A) With a Corvette, you can screw up the alignment on the rear axle as well!
(IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) It's probably takes more than 3 events to dial in a new car before Nationals.

Actually, I went to the Central PA Region event this weekend and had Sam help me with the setup. Put on a heavier front bar and tweaked the alignment. What a world of difference from PA States last weekend. Got 1 more practice before the big show!

I couldn't have been happier than to see the 1LE go to another autocrosser. That's who the car was meant to be sold to. Who knows, maybe I'll buy it back when Eric gets tired of it. Maybe I should have just rented it to him.

Ron,

I really was shocked when I saw the ad after talking to you so much last year and us chatting cars. Your car was SO clean and SO nice. I don't think it will be hard to let go of my newest 92 1le (black one), but the white one I just don't see me ever getting rid of.

Glad it went to an enthusiast and you might be right that it will find its way back to you.

Congrats!

See you in a few weeks!

I'm also glad it went to a "conehead"! (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/gr_grin.gif) That car is waaayyyy too perfect to cut up into a CMC car (or even a C/Prepared car).

Hey Eric, welcome to FRRAX.

Now that you own a ponycar you'll have to join Autocrossers Inc. We're basically ponycar-ville these days!

True you guys are known for the F-Body's. I just have to learn how to drive it before the Philly/A.I. Challenge (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/burnout.gif)

The fact that such a beautiful car is being passed around like a cheap whore makes baby Jesus cry.

No I liked driving the Camaro. I sold the car to pay off some bills. And of course I have a PROBLEM keeping cars (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/banghead.gif)
