I have a cracked wheel on the front of my car and I need a single replacement. I'm looking for a 16" front IROC wheel, or a set/pair of matching 16x8's if that's all I can find.

Does anyone have a wheel/wheels?

Kevin,

Somehow I ended up with one 'extra' iroc wheel but I need to look if it is a front or rear. It is the 'early' iroc (dish) and not the 'flat' iroc (91-92). I can check in the next day or two and let you know.

Do you have any of those plastic screws and white nuts that hold all the back paneling in place (like over the spare tire and the part that covers the access to the tail lights)? I'm needing some.

I did, and I think I still might. I have no use for them. I saw one of the white plastic "nuts" (captive nuts) on the garage floor a day or two ago and I think the rest of those screws are in a box somewhere (I don't think I tossed them yet).

Mine are the early style wheels, those are what I need.

I have a full set of 85-87 IROC wheels up in my garage attic. They won't fit my car anymore (C5 brakes and 4th gen width axle).

No idea how much they are worth. I'd rather not break-up the set. Make me an offer if you are interested.

Still have old ass tires on them. I wanted to burn them down to the cords, but never did.

I sold a set on Sunday with tires for $100. Since I'm changing to 17's at some point, I don't want to put a ton of money into them. Let me know what you're thinking and we'll go from there.

Where are you located?

Where are you located?

I'm in Royal Oak, MI.

I occasionally visit Ottawa, OH (Lima – Findlay area) where I grew up. Not planning to go to OH until the 8/26 Cooper autocross however.

Also, my mom works in Columbus at OSU. She is coming to visit me this weekend for the Woodward dream cruise, then headed back to Columbus on Sunday…

Is it too much to ask my mother to deliver wheels and tires?? (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/rotf.gif)

I can ask, and she’ll probably do it.

Or maybe instead of all 4, we could do just 1 or 2 now (so she doesn’t have to drive the truck) and the rest later (maybe 8/26??)

Logistics… This is cracking me up. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/rotf.gif)

I still need to inspect those, it's not out of the question yet.....

Let me see what Costas turns up first.

If not, I might have you send a front with her and I could get the rest later. That could work.

I'll check with mom tonight, one wheel shouldn't be a problem at all.

$100 for the set is fine with me. They are in good shape physically. I stripped the paint off and polished them at one point in time. They are smooth, but no longer polished. Dull grey color now.

I talked with Mom last night, she said no problem. I said I know Kevin, he’s a good guy, nothing to worry about. Ha, yeah right.

Let me know if you want to go through with this. I’m thinking about packing the whole set in her Grand Prix (I fit 4 in a Camaro, she should be able to fit 4 in a grand prix right?) Let me know if you want to go through with this.

Not if you don't ask her to help with loading or unloading, and make sure the wheels are clean before they go in her trunk (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

good call. I’ll do the loading. Hopefully Kevin can do the un-loading. I’ll wrap them in old sheets.

Believe it or not mom pulled a hammy on the 4th of July water skiing. I told her that she’s too old to take up extreme sports, but she didn’t listen. Parents…

I picked them up tonight and I did the unloading. Thanks Stan, and thank your mom again for me! This way she's not stuck with a car load of wheels for the next few days. They are stacked safely in my garage until I get the new/current rubber wrapped around them. I think I'm going to swap all 4 to the new wheels, sell one for scrap and I might just scrap them all. I suspect they are worth close to a dollar per lb as scrap aluminum. If so, I'll get roughly $80 for the set of old wheels and I can't hardly sell them for that. Besides, short of breaking another one, what will I do with a set of 3?

AL is ~$.50/lb scrap around Chicago, last time I checked. What will you do with a set of 3? Spares (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)
