It's not the first time that I've ordered something from Thunder Racing, but I is the first time that they have messed up.

I ordered a Canton oil pan for the one piece main seal engine that I'm building. What I got was a pan for a pre 1980 SBC that doesn't come close to fitting.

It also seems like everyone is on vacation. I called and left two messages for customer service and I haven't received a call back.

They've been good in the past. I don't know if there service is slipping or I'm just being unlucky.

I've had good luck with them - hopefully an off day, everyone has one! How they take care of it is a mark of a good business.

I placed an order with them, and one of the items was on back order. They shipped the in stock items now and then shipped the backorder stuff when it arrived for free. Hopefully they are just taking a long, long lunch...

Im sort of with the rest, only good experiences with Thunder... hopefully your experience is an unusual one.

I have been to Thunder Racing and spent a couple days there in person and it is a fairly efficient operation. I think they may have had a little sales rep turnover like most places do.

See if you can get a hold of Angie and explain your problem...she will make sure it gets fixed.

Another tip, ask them to page whoever you want to talk to (instead of leaving voice mail).

Bingo. Lots of shops pretty much shut down over that weekend. Most of the East Cost shops as well as a few Texas shops.

Thing have worked out. Once Thunder Racing got back to me, they confirmed that I had ordered the right part and that they had Canton ship the wrong one. They had Canton ship me the right oil pan and included a shipping label for sending the wrong one back. So I'm happy.

Canton's pan still need some persuasion with a hammer to fit but, but it does fit.
