********PRICE REDUCTION $12,000.00 ******** 11/11/07
Hi all, I haven't been around for awhile due to some financial realignments. Being self employed is cool but sometimes it can get sorta hinky. Good news is the realignment was a huge success even though I had to really work for a change for awhile. On to business.... (IMG:http://www.texasinterceptors.com/images/ff_b4c_speed.jpg) 3 years ago I was heavily involved buying police vehicles at auction and flipping them. Crown Vics, Caprices, SUVs etc. It was a great gig. I picked up a 96 B4C from the City of Ft Worth with that intention. Things went terribly awry from that point (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) . The car ended up becoming a full blown ORR participant... and a family project for myself and my 2 grown kids. That was the best part; doing it with the kids, going to the races and having those once in a lifetime experiences. (IMG:http://www.texasinterceptors.com/images/cait3.jpg) So why am I selling? Loss of interest pure and simple. Both kids are active duty military now and they would like race but that just doesn't work out too well. Old Dad likes to race but it just isn't the same without the kids. Just listing this car is a monumental task because of all the mods that have been done to it. Here is a URL to several pages that detail the buildup: B4C Build The car is prepped and in race ready trim. It has participated in 6 ORR races and finished in each one. We ran the Texas Mile in it, an HPDE at Texas World Speedway and Nashville Superspeedway. (IMG:http://www.texasinterceptors.com/images/tmile2.jpg) Most notable finishes: 1st Place 145mph Class 2006 Roadrunner Open Race 2nd place 130mph Class 2005 Roadrunner Open Rad Race 4th place 135mph Class 2006 Bonneville 100 4th place 145 mph Class 2007 Big Bend Open Road Race 2006 Texas Mile 157.8mph (IMG:http://www.texasinterceptors.com/images/B4C/2007/nashvegas/chris.jpg) Modification list: The '96 ORR car. You can see tons of videos and pictures of this car here: Open Road Racing B4C The car has not been stripped -- still full interior including working AC, lights, etc . Up until about 3 moths ago it had a current registration and inspection. IE street legal --- sorta. Now to the rub-- you never get back what you have invested in one of these cars-- that is a given. The biggest bargains are cars that are sorted and ready to go and that is what this one is. I have north of $30k invested and would like to recoup half of that. So let's say $15k for the whole package. |

Guys, I drove this car at Nashville Superspeedway. It's a well sorted rocket. I have to say that I was truly impressed with Andy's toy and can tell you that this car is a giant head start if you want to build an LT1 4th gen. And it does "haul the mail" (and it sounds wicked too!). Yeah! I looked at this Nice Camaro and Most impressed nice is shocks (Bilsten) at Nashville Spdway.. GOOD Luck on your F/S (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) . |

Ok Guys,
I am wanting to close the Shop north of Dallas and I need to find a home for this car to do that. I have been involved in some interesting trades in the past so start thinking "Cash Plus????" I have use for: 4x4 UV like a Kawasaki Mule or Polaris. Small enclosed trailer 12-14ft Guns esp anything in 45 Auto Suzuki Samurai 3rd gen F Bods LTx Corvettes Be creative! I have no use for porn collections, mind altering drugs, GF's you are tired of or taxidermied animals. Everything else is pretty wide open. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/cool2.gif) One time I had a '95 F bod that I let go for a pittance and I got a beating on here for not 'letting everybody know'. Somebody is gonna get a helluva deal on this car..... |

Andy, say it ain't so!! I heard it was forsale, and I just couldn't believe it. I do know that the best part of the ORR for you was doing it with your son, but you could find a place to store that sucker for a while and get back into it later!
Agreed, someone is going to get a hell of a car here. Glad to hear you're doing ok Andy! Been too long, -jeff |

GF's you are tired of... Damn, so close and yet so far away..... You're really tempting me Andy. You did say 3rd gens (though I expect you want a streetable one). I always tempt you don't I Kevin? Yeah, a streetable vehicle is what I need. Giving up the shop with 2 bays and a lift and moving everything into a double garage in my slice of Suburbia doesn't lend itself to projects very well. Some more pics to tempt the lurkers, lookers and wannabe ORR racers: (IMG:http://www.texasinterceptors.com/images/spoiler2.jpg) Blaine Spoiler- It comes with a taller short track version as well. (IMG:http://www.texasinterceptors.com/images/shocks.jpg) Bilstein race shocks and springs from UE (IMG:http://www.texasinterceptors.com/images/rrorr1.jpg) (IMG:http://www.texasinterceptors.com/images/rrorr2.jpg) (IMG:http://www.texasinterceptors.com/images/hpde3.jpg) (IMG:http://www.texasinterceptors.com/images/B4C/2007/nashvegas/chris.jpg) (IMG:http://www.texasinterceptors.com/images/B4C/2007/nashvegas/chris13.jpg) (IMG:http://www.texasinterceptors.com/images/B4C/2007/nashvegas/alan2.jpg) This post has been edited by AndyJ: Nov 19 2007, 04:07 PM |

Good to hear from you too! I'm not that elusive. I'm interrupt driven! Bzzzzt. Read email. Bzzzzt. hello this is Jeff. Bzzzzzt. 2pm appt is here. There is the "blah blah blah ORR blah blah" and I think "What's up with Andy, I should say hi" but no other interrupt exists. I'm too old to keep it all straight in my head. But I'm glad you're doing well, sad that this chapter is ending, but happy that there will be another chapter and another cool race car!!! -jeff "old guy" |

What do you want out of your car? Color? Hardtop or t tops? Miles? 770 is Georgia area code right? This post has been edited by AndyJ: Nov 21 2007, 08:08 AM |

That is a really good deal. If I could do it all over again I'd buy someone else's project instead of droping a fortune making my own. Ditto Stan, Although there is quite a bot of satisfaction from creating your own racer. If I had it to do over again, I might not do it at all (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) |

But with the advent of Ebay and message boards we are capable of buying someone elses project, taking off the parts that you don't like, and selling them for usually 50-75% of the original purchase price. That pays for the things that you want to do/change. I don't think it would be too hard to sell your shocks and a few other items on this forum (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) |

The color is pewter, interior is charcoal - you know - almost black. I installed quality sheep skin seat covers at about 5K miles. So leather is as new. Car has about 62,400 miles. Always changed oil every 3000 to 3500 miles with sybthetic oil. advantage of having my own shop. It is a T-Top . Also has 10 disc CD player in left rear. Yes the phone # is Atlanta area. I live NE in Buford. Call anytime to get more info if necessary. I don't type that well. Old guy Wolfgang

OK everyone,
The weather has curtailed the dirt excavation for the time being and I have taken the next 30 days off. One of the things that has to be done is vacating my shop prior to Jan 1. This car is in th shop so it has gotta go. $9000 cash with all the spares and stuff ready to go. This has got to be the Santa deal of the century. |
