Well finally got to autox again. After almost 7 months (3 days away-tech sticker is still there)
I added the Strano bar, went to 600lb springs, and Koni shocks. And Victoracers. Holy shi-ite! And nothing went wrong. (Knocking on wood) Didn't drive very well but OK times. And I had fun. |

My dad always said ...
"If you can drive it on the trailer when you are finished, you've won!" He was a sprint car driver in the 40s, 50s and 60s |

(IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) Back in the saddle again .... OK, so I'm no Gene Autry (if that's even the right singin' cowboy).
I'm in kind of a slump myself. I've only been able to get to one Evolution school in March (Phase I again) - no events yet this year. The new Hoosiers are mounted, but still have their stickers (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) I was amazed by how much I'd forgotten. By the end of the day it was coming back, and the instructors weren't beating me AS badly in my own car. |

Good to hear Lonnie!
I start my first event(AX) tomorrow with new Konis, wheels(16x8 GTA's) and ummm very old tires (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) But never used! They're competition tires at least... And the weather forecast calls for rain all day long tomorrow. Hopefully the weather will be the only thing going wrong. |

Well, I got my second event tomorrow. First one, back in March, was a success (1st in ESP, 5th in PAX, 2nd in unadjusted time). However, my new goal is 1st in PAX! Since the last event, I've put on Koni SA's, GC perches, and 500lb springs. My rear Bilsteins are not in yet (grrrrrr!!), but the forecast is for 70% thunderstorms all day long, so it should be THAT big a deal. Plus, my Evo school with Sam and Junior was in rain. I'm hoping that everything I learned about driving in general, and driving in the rain in particular, will pay off. One last thing, the only guy who beat my unadjusted times was running on the new V710's. So, I know that he'll be on some kind of other tire. Don't know if that'll matter in the rain, but it can't hurt! Good luck tomorrow, everyone!!

First points event today. Blew my morning runs, but fortunately recovered for a decent finish in the afternoon. Ah, to be back in the saddle. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I did my first AutoX in the rain a week and a half ago, that was an interesting experiance! I did a couple of 360's, and I think someone else did a 540!
