Well, just to give you some F-body company Ssssspeedracer, I guess I will have to sign up for this 5/1 event. I have never run w/NASA, I assume there is nothing too whacky in their signup procedures for 1st timers? Curt, should I sign up HPDE3 too? Or do I need to run with the Newbie crowd for 1st session? TOO bad AI is up north, I wanted to check out their rides, to see what I could do most cost effectively to reduce my times.....

Slider- Do you want to be a big fish or a little fish? If I can run with HPDE3 I know that you can. HPDE4 gets a little bit too aggresive for my style. However, I think that you could hold your own in HPDE4 also. HPDE4 has more race built cars. HPDE3 tends to be mostly street cars.

You will be bored in HPDE2.

Technically, NASA wants everyone to start in 1 and work their way up. I think if you list your expereince HPDE3 should not raise any flags. 4 might be another story.

NASA requires a $35 annual membership on top of the registration fee. Which is a bummer, but at least it includes a subsciption to Grassroots Motorsports mag.

I just added an extension plate to the throttle pedal. Should help with the downshifts.
Stiffer springs (1LE) are on the way.
I've got two subwoofers on order to go along with amplifier so that I have more ballast over the rear wheels (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

Bring out your HotLap [transmitter!

How about along the fence by the hot pit, where the tupperware crowd pits with otr, By turn 9? Along the back fence we miss alot of the action.

So, how was the weekend. Weather forecast looked good for Rosamond. Hopefully the wind wasn't too wild. Anybody make it to Club DI for a little nighttime action? What kind of lap times were you guys turning?

I was going to track the wife's AI car one day, but the car up on jack stands with no rear swaybar and a couple other items that required time and energy prevented that. One of these days I'll find out how badly the M3 has spoiled me.

I had a pretty good time on Saturday. It was cool to see my wife get excited making her best 1:52 track time.

Group 3 first session started with some guy loosing a cat back system on turn 6. Damn thing was smoking wildly.

I pulled three fishtails followed by a 180 coming off of turn 3. Kept it on track the entire time. Later found out the rear drivers side spring perch and panhard bar must have broke apart to cause this. Funny thing is, that I didnt really notice, and ended up getting my own track record later in the day. Glad that it didnt bust apart through turn 8/9. That would have sucked.

I'll be up there again 5/19 with Opentrackracing. Fun group to run with! take that AI off those jackstands in the front yard and head on over. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
