This is an open track event on Friday the 8th at Thunderhill. Don's events are great with tons of track time. I'll be there along with a few friends including Dave Morin & Pat Stone (CMC guys).
There are plenty of spots available.
I know it's last minute, but this a great opportunity.
Check out the details at the following:

Of course Terry, that is the usual up at T-Hill unless someone like GM is running. They might not want ya there! (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) Open track groups visitors are no problem. Do you have a CMC car you are building?

I'm not sure what a cmc car is, But I do have a 74 camaro project & a 87 Z28 TPI car I'm starting to work on. I just picked the 87 up for real cheap, It needs body work. As a mechanic by trade, I'll be doing my own work. Where I can.

Terry, a CMC car is a Camaro-Mustang Challenge Car. Camaro Mustang Challenge There are quite a few of us CMCers on the board here. The two guys who posted this event are regular CMCers so I thought you might be interested in CMC.

Tell us about your projects - where do you live? Do you have any track experience?

I live in Red bluff Ca. So I think I'm closer to thunder hill than a lot of people, Only about 45 miles north. I also work down in Orland Ca. I've never driven on a race track. But Years ago I ran a few auto crosses, won my class three times. Twice in a 73 V-6 capri (I mis that little beast (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) ) & once in my first Camaro A 79 coupe with a 350 (I should of kept that car,I would of been driving it around instead of stearing at a 81 Z28, That needed an 305, computer & wiring hraness to pass a smog test (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/bs.gif) , But that one big saga in it's self (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/rant2.gif) )

I live about 70 miles south of Thunderhill near Woodland. I'm there fairly often so I'm sure we'll meet sometime! That's really cool about your autox wins! I would encourage you to come out to an instruction-type event when you are ready. I would recommend the NCRC (Northern California Racing Club) for that.

I had a good time, despite some issues with overheating and oil pressure. Got to try out the new suspension set up though and loved it.

The actual grip and slip events seem to be yearly.
