Two days of the best time I have ever had driving a car.
Weather was dry but cold. Track is really challenging to a novice like me. I only had two track days prior, both at Nelson Ledges. The Glen is a whole different world. Everyone should consider signing up for an event like this at least once. It is an experience you will never forget. Thanks to Mike, PF Flyer, who was my instructor for day 2. Hope I didn't scare you much. I learned a load of new techniques to work on. It sure made getting around there easier. Also thanks to the other Maryland guys that were with Mike who helped figure out my vibration problem. Worrying about the car doesn't let you focus like you need to. The new Hawk pads I put on did a hell of a good job stopping the car, but my wheels are black w/dust. I noticed that mine was the only f-bod that looked like that, so I'm thinking that there are other pads that will do the job without making such a mess. Another item to look into. My to do list before the Indy event: replumb remote oil filter with larger lines/ less 90s add oil cooler while I'm at it hook up oil temp sender fix univeral joint loctite TA jam nuts research brake pad options |
