98 Camaro Z28 6 speed Sebring Silver
well life is getting in the way and its time to put my toy up for sale. w/ 2 kids and a 2500 HD crew cab as a daily driver, the Z needs to go.

98 Camaro Z28 Silver hardtop 6 speed
this car was a 2 option car (upgraded radio and Z rated tires) i bought it new off the lot. i bought it in Feb 1998.
Mods:
Silver "ghost" flames by Dusold in 2001. had ant removed and shaved at the same time.
ZR1 repleca's -17x9/11 combo in silver
Bistine HD shocks w/ LGM springs
LG torque arm
LG Poly/Rod LCA's
LG rod/rod PHR
32mm/21mm 1LE sways and all poly bushings
front brakes upgraded to Porsche 996TT fronts calipers and rotors. this kit uses all OEM parts for easy parts replacements. 13" drilled rotors and 4 piston Brembo calipers made for Porsche. system filled w/ Castrol SRF ($80 a liter)
SS rear spoiler
seats upgraded to leather w/ TA 6 way power fronts. interior is black and dark gray.
billet pedal covers - these are very nice units and work really well.
auto meter mini shift light.
auto meter 2 1/16" water temp, oil temp, oil pressure and fuel pressure gages mounted in center A/C vents - looks factory!
ripper shifter
Motor:
Kim Barr built short block fully ballanced.
diamond pistons w/ 2cc valve reliefs - would suport a .700 lift cam easy.
CRD ported heads (99 and up castings) flow 307 at .550 lift
11.5 comp ratio
G5X2 cam (232/240 dur .600 lift on a 112 LSA)
cometic gaskets
ARP head studs, main studs, rod bolts.
LS6 intake
LS6 PCV conversion
ATI balancer
FLP headers and B&B TriFlow cat back.
Denny's 3.5" driveshaft
3.73 gears w/ a Torsen T2 posi
Spec 3 Clutch w/ aluminum flywheel and light weight PP set-up
lots of other little stuff i'm surely forgetting.
the car only has 86,000 ORIGINAL miles on it. thats less than 8K per year. been kept in the garage 24/7 since '99. motor only has just over 10,000 miles on it. this car is very streetable. it handles very well. its set-up for open track (road course stuff) and street. no exspence was spaired for anything on this car. very well maintained. never been wrecked. car pass's TX inspection w/ zero issues.
last dyno was w/ new motor - 456HP/422TQ.
car will run easy 7.9's w/ a 1.8 60 @ 92 mph set-up for RR not drag racing. a good driver could do much better.
the motor clutch, trans, diff has never seen nitrous.
the car has been featured in Camaro Performers in 2006. 5 page spread.
i've got well over $10K in this car. thats not w/ labor - thats mods only.
pretty firm - $15K

Wow, never thought that I would see the day that you would sell your baby.

To those FEW who don't know Glenn, he's a "stand up", honest guy and meticulous about the work he does on his cars, almost to a fault (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) This is a very well sorted car at a great price.
.......I think it has some car show awards too

Sorry to hear you're giving her up Glenn but best of luck on the sale .....she'll bring someone a lot of enjoyment.

I am far, far away from TX, so i don't think i'll be buying this (though i'd love to). However, i've just got a curiosity question because i've been contemplating an engine rebuild like this. Is that 456hp at the wheels? And what rpm is that at? Any dyno charts you could post?

This is the right car at the wrong time for me. Good luck with the sale, Glenn. Once things settle out in my household, I will check to see if this car is available. ...at this price, I highly doubt it...

Dave's an amazing driver, indeed! It was my pleasure to race with him this season.
