That also says trucks were being discounted heavily because dealers didn't want to be stuck with them.

Yeah, but to buy one you still have to want one. I think the low pricing just encouraged people that were going to buy new trucks in the next few years anyway to buy sooner. Even with the reduction from sticker, there were still a lot of cars that were cheaper.

I was looking into getting a CTS-V in due time.
I guess I'll stick to 2-wheels for fun... and go back to racing on them.

Well usually they sell a lot of trucks because people and businesses need them for work. I bet the ratio of work truck/personal use truck went up a lot last year. I work with a lot of people who have short commutes and they really don't care what they drive wrt to MPG. When you only have to drive 5 miles to get to work it's not a big deal.

They're not killing the cars the PD developed, they're just putting the division on hold and distributing the engineers around the company. The cars they developed and maybe even some that are done but not to market yet will survive .... if GM does.

Amen to that. I read the report GM submitted to the government to sweet talk them into loaning them money. From the sounds of the report they are going to dramatically reduce the # of vehicles offered, increase fuel economy, and focus on smaller efficient engines. I don't really know where cars like the Corvette and Camaro fit in that model. I have no plans to get rid of my Camaro, but I would sell one of my kidneys to buy an E46 M3, any takers?

Well, I would sell both of your kidneys for an M3...lol
