Steve just keep in mind, the $2500 he says he has included $780 in tires. Wheels alone new are only $1,800-ish.

If you are willing to spend that much I would just buy new ones. Unless of course you can talk him down, and get some use out of the tires.

Has there been any threads regarding the fitting of 18 inch wheels on FBodies?

The reason I ask is that the availability of slightly used race tires in the 18" size is far greater than the 17" variety.

Regards
Steve

I don't see any reason why a 305 on an 18x12 wheel wouldn't work.
A little criper turn in and a 315 out back.

Droool. If we hadn't bought a house this year I'd be all over this...although I would try talk him down a bit. Either the prices have gone up a bit for CCW's, or he got taken paying $2500 for the lot. Hmm....I need to start thinking about a trailer again too..

I need a crisper turn in... (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

By the way, these are 46mm offset wheels.

CCW can make the same off set as the 17s. They do it all the time according to them
