$2K will go a long ways to a new chassis, as in all the way and then some.
Remember, I don't like my cage. This post has been edited by GlennCMC70: Aug 3 2010, 05:21 PM |

LAW Motorsports has chassis candidates stacked like cord wood. We are currently lobbying to change the rules concerning back up cars. $2K will go a long ways to a new chassis, as in all the way and then some. Remember, I don't like my cage. Well, sure, if you are unhappy with your current car, I can understand that. My perspective was a car that was well built and was a well developed car. Personally, in my case, a cage ALONE would have cost $2000 in a new donor car....not to mention all the other goodies in the car. It was a no brainer cost wise. If you have been wanting to "do it better" for a while.....I can see your point. You could still repair it and sell it though. This post has been edited by rmackintosh: Aug 3 2010, 07:22 PM |

Once that happens, what guarantee do I have the frame rails are still parallel? Left and right and up and down. None without going on a frame machine....but you could get close enough to get the wheels aligned to finish the season...then build your new car. You have the other car to use for measurements....just push it back close to those specs. |

I'd port-a-power it. Or chain it to a couple trees with come alongs. Or find a concrete pad and set some 3/8" drop in anchors + chains and a come along.
It's a race car, beauty is in the eye of the racer behind the wheel. I'll bet it still looks good from the driver's seat. |

I do still have a crappy one from the dirt track days....but you have a northern store near your house you could pick one up pretty cheap. I suprised master tool man Mitch doesn't have one. |
