For the first time, I'm seriously considering selling the Z28. I'm renting a late-model V6 Mustang ragtop right now, and it feels pretty good. Ergonomics aren't the best for me, rear seat is even less usable than the 4th Gen F-body. I would never get a ragtop though, do want to get into a big monthly payment.
I've thought about trying to locate a sub-$20K C5 Z06 and just move this LS3 motor into it and sell my car with the LS1. I like the Z06 just because of the immediate 500lb weight savings. I'd have other costs I'm sure... different headers, might need different race wheels/tires due to brake interference, etc. I'd have to get a hitch & trailer to haul the tires to events.
