My website is up for renewal. This is what it is going to cost me for 2 years at Go-Daddy.com: $120.76 Hosting - Shared - Economy - Linux - Renewal - 2 years $23.24 Domain F-BODYSPORT.COM $143 total $114.47 with 20% off Are there better deals out there? I'm not even close to being savy at making a website so it has to be user friendly. I can't complain about Go-daddy's service, if I couldn't figure something out I called, talked to an actual human that seemed to be American and I got what I needed taken care of. When I first signed up ~4 years ago I remember the prices being half that. Now that I took the time to make the site etc I have a feeling the are bending me over. Are there other options out there for a dummy like me? |

That's roughly half what I pay at Dreamhost. http://www.dreamhost.com/ But that includes stuff you probably don't need, like unlimited bandwidth, unlimited storage, unlimited email accounts, unlimited subdomains, etc. It is a lot more complicated than something like Godaddy, but still pretty easy. If you can live without your own domain name, there's gotta be free sites that would offer a similar amount of storage and bandwidth to Godaddy. I don't know any offhand. (Gee, that was helpful of me!) You might be able to get a free site, then register your domain, and have it forwarded to your free site. Just a thought. It'd probably be slow and loaded with ads, and I have no idea how to do it, but still. |

My own site is hosted with totalchoicehosting - You could take a look and see how they compare? I pay around $45 a year.

@$4/month it looks like I'm not getting a bad deal. The other places I'm seeing are $4-9/mo.

I have lawmotorsports.net and lawmotorsports.com both registered and hosted at 1and1.com and it costs me $80/year. I get a HUGE amount of on-line storage, bandwidth and e-mail addresses. |

My .02 is to check out lunarpages. I have them and the very few times I've had a problem I got an ENGLISH speaking person on the phone quickly and problems solved fast. They were stupid cheap and great capacities also. Good luck, Costas cars and such... |

I used to use 1and1 a few years ago and was happy until I had to cancel. It was a nightmare-do a google search. Even after following their overly complex procedures at the time they kept billing my card. I had to complain to the BBB and get a new card.
