I know we've had lots of people on here looking for tow vehicles. Well, this one will tow...

I've decided that I want something else to drive daily and that leaves me no parking space at the house (or in the budget) for the truck. Since most of the mileage has been from driving it around, it's a very lightly used heavy duty truck. The bed is straight and there are no dents inside the bed (none I can think of, it's definately not beat to crap and it's very likely perfect) and it has been Rhino Lined. Anyway, this is a pretty clean tow rig that hasn't been abused and hasn't really seen much towing either.

The details:

2007 Chevy C3500 "Classic" extra cab, long bed, single rear wheel (non Dually) pick up truck (2wd).
9,900 lb GVWR
6.0 liter
4L80e transmission
Factory rear tinted glass
factory towing package
Prodigy brake controller
locking rear diff (G80 locker)
11.5" rear axle with 4.10 gears
Front tow hooks
Split bench seat with fold up center console
Cruise
Tilt
AC
Dual zone climate controls
Grey cloth interior
Charcoal exterior
Rubber floor mat (no rips or tears and carpet doesn't belong in a real truck)
Flip up rear bench seat
Rhino liner installed at 128 miles (the day after I picked it up)
Aftermarket tail gate lock
Automatic headlights (that have a manual off as well)
Clarion CD player with Ipod controller/MP3/CD player (blue tooth can be added as can a CD changer) (I also have the factory cd player and can swap it back in if needed/wanted, all wiring is in tact and nothing has been cut/spliced)
Infinity reference series 6.5" 2 way "seperates" speakers in front
Infinity reference 4x6 2 way rear speakers
62,xxx miles
Bilstien shocks
Bolt on step bars
New Firestone tires with less than 4k miles on them
1 owner (me), I bought it new in March of 2007

I'm sure I'm forgetting something. The body is straight except for two small door dings on the drivers side extra cab door (paintless dent should take them right out, they are small), otherwise the body is clean and straight. It's snowing out, so I can't take new pics, but I have some old ones and can get fresh ones as soon as the weather allows.

$17,500

I have a guy offering basically $11k. Figured I'd offer it to anyone here for the same price before I let it go. He's calling me tomorrow around noon (EST). Send me an email at trackbird (at) gmail dot com

Thanks!

I guess it's a bad time to sell a truck. The only thing I could think that would hurt the sale is the fact that it's 2wd.

Not yet. I might just take it up to Carmax (in a few minutes). I'm not renewing the tags, so I may as well dump it. It's getting to be a little like the Camaro. My mind is made up to get rid of it and now I'm less and less worried about what it's worth vs. what I can get out of it. I'm starting to consider dumping it for anything above payoff to get rid of the payment and insurance every month (and free up space in the driveway). However, I've found two C4 ZR1's that are quite reasonably priced (one local, one in Texas) and I considered taking it across town to talk about a trade. They also have a 2004 Z06 (sadly it's the commoretive edition with the grey stripes...I'd rather have it in just the blue) on the lot with only a few thousand miles on it. But my significant other wants to see the engine running in the Corvette now that she helped put it together. So, I'm keeping the '91 and might just buy another one. Not sure which one is getting the snow tires (or the spot in the garage) for winter duty, but I'll sort that out later. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I like 2wd trucks for towing. I particularly like that they get better fuel mileage and you can pull the transmission easily. Others may not agree, but I actually bought a 2wd on purpose. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I love my manual locking hubs for that reason. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Nothing yet. I dumped it at Carmax and am currently car payment free. I'll be dropping the insurance in a bit and enjoying saving about $500 a month (payment, insurance, some fuel, etc). So, my daily driver is the '91 Corvette (though my GF just found me a 2003 Z06 with 42k miles for under $25k) and I'm not sure what I'm going to do yet...if anything.

As a side note, last night (when I returned home from selling it) I received an email from my buyer from Sunday restating his offer. So, I guess I "gave away" a grand. A bird in the hand and all that....

Dear god, don't get a C4 ZR1. I like C4's way too much, but dealing with the ZR1 stuff seems like a pain in the ass. 16 injectors, 2 fuel pumps, dual runner intake, blah blah blah.

I went and drove one last night. I think it was broken. It was a '91 that rolled 28,000 as I backed out of the parking spot. It made no torque and no HP. It didn't want to spin the tires (not that I tried, but no low end grunt) and it didn't pull on top. I suspect the second set of butterflies didn't open. I had the valet key and neither position seemed to do anything different. So, nice clean car...but it's either broken or one more of the supercar hero's of my youth has crumbled before my eyes. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Besides, my engine should make more than 405 HP (yes, the '91 ZR1 was only a 375 hp car) and I already own it. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
