So there's this place on the internet called Ebay - I've kind of got hooked on picking up good deals, and am going to try some buying/selling. Before I start listing there, I'll try selling stuff here on FRRAX and my local Craigslist. THIS SET IS SOLD
first up: Brand new, still in packages set of Armstrong full polish long pattern 12pt combination wrenches. 13 pieces 1/4" to 1" No moving parts to break, extra long for leverage, made in USA, high quality chrome plating, these are the foundation of a lifetime tool kit. 1/4 5/16 3/8 7/16 1/2 9/16 5/8 11/16 3/4 13/16 7/8 15/16 1 (IMG:http://blainefab.com/projects/2015-04-02/1-009.JPG) This post has been edited by Blainefab: May 21 2015, 03:38 AM |

How well are the open ends finished? Are they smooth or do they show milling marks? I'm looking for something to install muzzle brakes without marking them up. I have a set of Proto wrenches that do a pretty good job, but they are black oxide coated and have some milling marks in the open ends.

Kevin - Here are pics of the 3/4", it's the only one not in a sealed bag. There's a mark on one side, does not catch a fingernail. The others, as near as I can tell thru the plastic bags, are as clean or cleaner. I've got a 1/2 dozen of the same vintage that I bought to infil my shop box, and they all are as clean or cleaner also. If there's a specific size you need to use, let me know and I'll pop it out of the bag and take pics. I've bought about 100 Armstrong products from this Ebay seller over the last couple of months, all have Graingers SKU tags on them from 12/2004, they are now showing discontinued, they must have changed style or something. They have obviously been stored well, there is no aging apparent on any of these tools. Next up - I just got this one in and it's too nice for me to make the first scratch on it.
Brand new Armstrong MAXX 12-994 1/2" drive locking flex head ratchet. Extra long handle, locking feature locks the head straight or at 90deg or several positions in between. Made in USA, really nice plating, fine tooth ratchet mechanism. $ (IMG:http://blainefab.com/projects/2015-04-04/1-013.JPG) (IMG:http://blainefab.com/projects/2015-04-04/3-012.JPG) (IMG:http://blainefab.com/projects/2015-04-04/4-011.JPG) (IMG:http://blainefab.com/projects/2015-04-04/2-014.JPG) This post has been edited by Blainefab: Apr 24 2015, 04:09 AM |

I've finished replacing all my old Craftsman flare nut wrenches with Snap-On, and this one ended up extra. New, never has been on a nut.
New Snap-On RSX20B 5/8" flare nut wrench $22 shipped to the lower 48 (IMG:http://blainefab.com/projects/2015-04-12/3-010.JPG) (IMG:http://blainefab.com/projects/2015-04-12/2-009.JPG) (IMG:http://blainefab.com/projects/2015-04-12/1-007.JPG) |

flex swivel head combination wrench, aka Saltus wrench - these guys are pretty handy in spots that a ratchet doesn't. I bought this one, then got a lot of misc wrenches that included a used MAC version of this one. I'm keeping the MAC cause it's already been worn in, and selling the new Armstrong.
New Armstrong 25-516 1/2" swivel head combo - full polish - made in USA - high quality chrome plating - New $22 shipped to the lower 48 (IMG:http://blainefab.com/projects/2015-04-29/2-004.JPG) (IMG:http://blainefab.com/projects/2015-04-29/3-006.JPG) |

New set of Armstrong, made in USA 3/8" drive 6 point shallow length impact sockets - 12 pieces, metric sizes 8mm thru 19mm on a clip rail
6 points are best for cracking loose stubborn fasteners without rounding off the head, and impact rated makes them tough. 3/8" size is handy and lightweight compared to 1/2" drive stuff, good if you have a bunch of wrenching to do. the set as pictured has these sizes, on a clip rail 8mm 9mm 10mm 11mm 12mm 13mm 14mm 15mm 16mm 17mm 18mm 19mm edit - set is now complete with all sizes 8mm to 19mm price is still $65 shipped to the lower 48 (IMG:http://blainefab.com/projects/2015-06-01/2-002.JPG) (IMG:http://blainefab.com/projects/2015-06-01/1-003.JPG) (IMG:http://blainefab.com/projects/2015-06-01/3-001.JPG) This post has been edited by Blainefab: Jun 2 2015, 04:30 AM |
