Anyplace where car enthusiasts hang out is good! I think we have the universal hatred of those who mess with our rides in any fashion in common. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/mad.gif)

I always go in to the front desk and explain that I am terrified that my rig is going to be stolen (I have an open trailer). I have always been permitted to either park under the little cover for the lobby entrance or at a minimum near the lobby door in full view of the front desk. I wouldn't be able to sleep if I didn't get this "special" treatment and I never have been denied.

Does anyone know of a lo-jack type of tracking device that you can monitor from a website? I saw something like that in a computer magazine once but lost it. I think ADT has something like that now, but I would imagine you would have to have ADT protecting you home too. I can come up with plenty of places to hide something like that... even more if it's weatherproof!!

The one that I saw in the magazine said it used GPS satellites, so you could track the car to south America if needed. It was mainly for corporate use with vehicle tracking in mind, but I'm sure we can come up with other uses!

The company I work for does satalite tracking for trucking companies, we also do transponders for the toll systems.

FWIW, the lowest price system we have, for a single vehical, costs $99/month. but you can get on a computer, go to the website, and see exactly where it is located at.

There is a highend dealer in Ft Lauderdale Fl I saw has a white one with red stripes. I don't know anything else about it. But you never know. It is a high profile car you don't see around every day. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/nutkick.gif)
