I met SGarnett in Cincinatti today to pick up a set of wheels for tomorrows autocross. This was a 2 hour drive for me, but it was also a 2.5 hour drive for Sean. I really appreciate him taking time out of his day to meet me to drop off some tires so I could race the next day (I did at least buy them from him). That's why I'm glad to be involved with this board and the F-body community. I've met some of the best people through these boards and through racing.

Thanks again Sean, I really appreciate it!

Hey, no problem ... the banana cream cheesecake was worth the drive (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Good point.

I just got home from the event. The tires worked pretty well for me. I was 4th out of 7 in CP. I was essentially the fastest non CP car running in CP. Meaning, there were 3 drivers in Mustangs, full "Nascar" cage, fiberglass and all and a partially stripped, roll bar equipped F-body (not really a full cp car yet, but getting there) and a few others. I only lost to the full CP cars (slicks and all). I drove poorly and never really got a handle on the car, but I'll take 4th in that class (I brought a knife to a gunfight I think).

Sam's guidance was a huge help, and the setup was better than the last one I've used.

A fun day for all.

Kevin did you swap in a stock rear bar then????

And for real autoxing fun come to the Toledo Pro next year. I recommend the Pro's to everyone. You get AT LEAST 12 runs on the weekend, and more if you make the challenge rounds.

Plus if you don't make challange rounds you are gone on Sunday around noon-1o'clock

'Just tryin to round up more midwest FRRAX autoxers at one event.

Yup. Right after walking the course, I did a rear bar swap (thanks to Axoid for assistance) while Sam took a look at the wear marks on my Koni shocks from my bump stop travel and generally took a look at things.

I figured I'd give a reasonably close to "real" setup a try. I could put power down better than it ever did on stock bars (running a 35/19, vs 30/19) and the big front bar really works (if you remove "bar-zilla" from the rear end).

I removed the bridge support sized rear bar and the change was amazing. Now, if I could only learn to drive (and get the brakes to work when I ask them too. I kept getting what seemed like knockback on the pads and having a long pedal....then overcooking the next corner).

Considering that this was my 3rd event in this car and I've not run one in the last year, I'll take the results as a good thing. I set a goal of running a 42.5 second run and actually ran a 41.888 (Sam was in the high 30's :drive: ).
