Yep, have plenty of time to surf the web and just relax. Heck, if my car was here I might even be working on it.

I found that when marooned somewhere on business I tended to find the places even the locals didn't know about. For example, the shop in Austin that specialized in rare and exotic skulls ....

How long are you going to be stuck there?

I hear you on that! I've been traveling a lot lately to Aberdeen, MD and I spend a lot of time on the net and just relaxing myself. I realized that all I really need is a tv, fast internet connection, microwave, fridge, bed, and a BIG garage to get by. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Well, we're production launching our engine tomorrow. It's the first day we start building production level engines and we're going for the gusto to see if we can build at full line rate on the first day without any issues. I'm sure there will be issues. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

If there are no issues I can come home on Thursday. If there are issues, then . . .

Good news is I know I'll be home by Christmas. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

Finding those kind of places that tourists don't know about here can be a little more dangerous. I've been here enough now that I think that Mexican water bug has trouble doing me any harm, but if you stumble into the wrong place down here you're in for a miserable couple of days afterwards. Problem is at this hotel all the TV stations are in Spanish. Well, one of the movie stations is Showtime and they generally have Spanish subtitles and English voices. That's an interesting way to pick up on the Spanish language.

I've been here too many times when I start to recognize some of this Mexican accordian music playing on the video channel, and argh, even enjoy it (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/drink.gif) .

That's because there is nothing to do in Aberdeen, MD unless you go to the Army proving grounds.

When I was in Serbia earlier this year, I was with two other guys. Some evenings, we'd hookup my laptop to the hotel's high-speed Internet and listen to my Yahoo radio station while plowing through a bunch of beer that we bought at a local shop.

No car to fix, nothing to fix in the house, no homework to help out with, no diapers. It has it's advantages sometimes.

Exactly! APG during the day. Aberdeen/Hotel at night. How far do you live from here?

You like Marlyland? I've been thinking of moving down this way to get to cheaper houses and taxes. New Jersey is killer. Everything costs $500k+ even for small stuff. Was looking at SE PA or even Delawere too. How far are you from Summit Point? Gotta keep racetracks within a reasonable distance.
