http://www.precisionracing.org/

That's all I know about it so far.

Car and Driver sponsored. Run your own car. I think they said it will be held at 12 locations.

Interesting, looks like all the promotional stuff is from the One Lap.

I would give it a shot if the RR is more of a time trial. The "World’s Largest Auto Magazine Allows Novice Drivers to Race" is what would scare me if they let novices assult on a raod course bumping into each other.

No, it's going to be like an autocross. This is their second attempt at doing something like this although this time they've enlisted Car & Driver to help them out.

... they make it sound like this is a 'first' at getting you and your car on track. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

They have updated their website with the rules and classifications.

All V8 (and turbo V6) F-bodies are classifed in Touring 2 (T2). The SS, WS6, and Firehawk are in Grand Tourning 2 (GT2). You are allowed 550 "mod" points to stay in these classes.

Both of these classes bump to Modified Touring 1 (MT1). You are allowed 1500 "mod" points to stay in this class.

After 1500, you go to Open Touring (OT) which is unlimited.

I just checked all the mods points of my car and I'm at 993 so it looks like MT1 for me.

I ended up with 1,185 points in MT1.
