... the crew of AutoSport Development this season in the Speed World Challenge GT series. They'll be running 2 new, from the ground up, '05 GTO's. I'll do all the audio/video stuff and maybe assist with some of the data acquisition.

Tom Oates and Tiger Racing is only doing an abbreviated schedule this season. His crew chief and car builder, Chris, went over to AD to build the new cars for Stu Hayner and Co.

Looks like another fun season, with two street races. One with the IRL (St. Pete, Fla) and the other with the Champ cars (Denver). Here's the 2005 schedule.

My wife got to ride with Stu in his GTO for the parade lap before the start of the GT race at Laguna Seca a few months back. I really enjoyed checking out that car. We liked how they had some sort of material (clear plastic) over all the seams, and it looked like they also used it to smooth out the edges of the window opening at the back edge so that air flowed more smoothly there as well. And I think I recall a cool diffuser as well.

Yeah, I remember looking at the car and thinking, "Our car really isn't that cool in comparison."

Congrats!

JKnight - last seasons car was one right off the lot. 3 months later it was at Sebring. The '05s that will be competing this season are new, literally from the ground up. Should be an even more exciting year for the team. Especially with the addition of a second car, driven by Jim Osbourn and the Chili Peppers Racing team.

Mike that is cool. You are one connected dude!

Boy I like the new GTO. I may be getting one soon who knows it kinda feels that I might. It will be nice watching them. And the new Aston well that is a friggin work of art IMO.

Congrats Mike (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/thumbup.gif)
