Since the first weekend of November, I have driven my Trans AM a grand total of 13 miles ...
Most of that was shuttling it around the driveway and garage ... |

I've driven mine about 16 feet in the last two months. That was 8 mildly-aggressive feet back, and 8 mildly-aggresive feet forward, bouncing it back up onto my full-length wooden ramps (my stack-of-2x12s poor man's lift) to settle the rear springs and recheck the height (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I think I'm about even w/ you on use of the camaro. I try to drive it once I see the brake rotors have taken on a nice new surface of rust. Just can't bring myself to sell it right now.

Mitch... since the MSR event we did, my car has been driven exactly ZERO miles. I have cranked it and moved it out of my way in the shop once. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)
So I think I have you beat on low miles. |

Well so much for rubbing it in. It has rained so hard that we have 2 feet (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) of water on the streets! The car allmost didn't make it home! So much for the wet opti theory (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)
Oh it's still 60deg's (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) |

how far is your driveway from your garage ?
maybe in the end of the cowboy field, you have an old barn used as a garage... could make a good 1/4 mile everytime you bring it to driveway... (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) :leaving: mmmm... I drove my car in november... stored it the last day of november actually. ever since, haven't even washed it for hibernation (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) so 0mm since last day of November. going on a 400 miles course next weekend, though (trailered) |

It would cost a fortune, though, and I don't really want to own that much pavement. However, my cars absolutely do NOT go in the barn. I'm not sure why it's still standing, but nothing delicate goes inside (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) There isn't quite room for a straight quarter, and even if there was the stop at the end would be brutal. Whichever pieces made it through the trees would still have a six foot drop into the stream .... (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/burnout.gif) |

Got mine insured yesterday and went driving around logging data on the laptop with the girlfriend.
Nothing like pulling into the gas station with graphics on all 4 corners of the car, opened headers, idling at 600 rpm, no windows, no door handles, no parking brake... good times. I predict one week before I get pulled over. |

I have driven your T/A twice since November Mitch (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
The first time was from the shop to the house driveway, and the second was putting it back in the shop. How many miles are on that new motor? |

QUOTE (Formula WS6 @ Mar 5 2005, 07:36 PM) pavement!? who needs pavement, make a rally course in that field My MGB actually does pretty good in the field. It's a '77, and in '74 MG addressed the new federal bumper height requirements by raising the whole car. That's also when they added lot of extra rubber and steel to the bumpers. I know this will come as a shock, but the Camaro isn't very capable offroad. Even ignoring the ground clearance, the limited suspension travel doesn't cut it. I do cut through the field sometimes if the driveway is blocked, but I stay on the smoothest section and I don't stop until I get back to the driveway. Actually, though, the UE TA greatly improved the damp-grass-hill-climb capability (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) |
