Pricing. Be careful of what you ask for (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
Work is a bit*h because it takes you away from the really fun things. Well I had time to go thru the costs charged by the various suppliers (brake hose, Metric fastners, Machinist, Porsche parts, wheel studs and lug nuts, and two piece rotor costs) and finially came up with some numbers. Please remember I have a day job and I have to keep it going!!!! F body Big Brake Kit: • 996tt Porsche Brembo monobloc calipers • 996tt Porsche rotors, drilled • Prostop Performance Mounting brackets, spacers, and fastners • Prostop Performance stainless steel brake hoses (DOT certified!), cool red color too • New extra length front "race" quality wheel studs, GM performance part $2,195 plus s/h ************************* Two Piece Rotor Upgrade to the 996 Big Brake Kit.: Delete the Porsche OE rotor and upgrade to the Two Piece Floating rotor design. • Two Piece Floating plain rotor with aluminum hat, “T” fasteners and easily replaceable rotor. Saves much unsprung weight!!! Saves over SIX (6) pounds per wheel!!!! Saves money upon rotor replacement time!! Unless otherwise specified (see below,) the two piece rotor will be supplied with a plain rotor. Add $595 Total Cost for Kit $2,790 *********************** Two Piece Rotor available for purchase separately: $885 ******************************** • Two Piece Rotors available with one or all or none of the following improvements: • Cryogenically treated stress relieving; • Gas Relief/Slotting (Reverse or Traditional); • Gas Relief/drilled; • Balancing • Aluminum Hats available with anodized color of red, black, gold or blue. Call for pricing. If several treaments are ordered on a set of rotors (eg, slotting & balancing & cryo) there may be discounts I can pass along. ******************* Rear Brake Stainless lines for 4th Generation cars. I've sent samples of the ABS only and TC hoses to my supplier. I will have a quote soon for the rear SS hoses. Stay tuned!!!! ************* Upgrade Long Wheel Studs for the Rear of the car: 10 for $30 *************** OE GM Lug Nuts to replace worn ones or for spares 10 for $30 *********************** Brake Pads------Pagid, Hawk, Performance Friction or Raybestos Best regards Steve (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) |

How much for just the Calipers? That is all I need to complete my kit.
EDITED: Not enough coffee yet. Change from rotors to calipers. |

Steve D is a great guy to deal with. I just bought some brake lines for my kit. Installing them today (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) I also like to thank MitchX for selling me his brakes. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/thumbup.gif)

The 2 piece rotors are beautiful. Amazing work.
Eugenio and I will be installing them on his car tomorrow. I should have pictures over the weekend of the install. Now I want one of these kits. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) |
