i'd LOVE to go but i'm deathly afraid of my non trailer queen breaking down and then being forced to somehow tow it 550miles. i did that once from Gingerman (150miles) and it was a nightmare. on the other side, i know all the best gearheads would be there to help. hmm...i guess just tell me what spares to take with me and as long as you promise to fix if it decides to go 'baroque' i might go. what other chicago/illinois people are going? it's always better to hunt in packs (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

I'm in for the autocross. I decided to pass on the road course portion at this location.

Marcin, come run the autocross! You'll not likely break anything (I'm driving mine down, pulling tires on a trailer).

I had been meaning to make this same post.

I'm easy to find, I have the big frrax sticker across the top of my back window.

Kevin, thanks for encouragment, but I got a lot of new stuff on my car right now and i need to test it somehow, preferably less than 500+miles away (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I just got my car out of the shop few days ago, and been tuning it madly, to the point where yesterday I found out I'm making enough power to run out of my 26.4# injectors at high rpm. it's a good thing i have some SVO 30# laying around, how much of a hussle is it to swap them?

My car goes like stink right now, but it feel generally sloppy, so I wouldn't be attempting any real events. My tires will rub under hard cornering (coughGETTHATLIPROLLINGTOOLcough) and I have new brakes that haven't been really battle tested yet. Now, if you wanna take a look it sometimes, I'd drive out for that no problem, completely loaded up with my beer payment of course (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

autox scares me frankly, after i saw a friend of mine redefine my notion of 'toss the car into a corner' in a g-stock IntegraR. I think I could use it though, just to learn where the limits of my beloved KDs are. (well, right now the limits are whenever they start to rub the fenders)

the days for the event are may5-7. that's thu-sat, so i could probably do only saturday, what event is on saturday? if it's RR or AX i'd go, at least to watch and meet the great people that made me a smarter man (with a bigger car addiction now, but that's details (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) )

I am going to be there as lead road course instuctor, but my car is not making the trip. I still have not got my engine back together and even if I had I still may have left it at home as my family has a planned week vaction in Orlando starting that Sun. If anyone want to let me take ther car around the course I would be happy too. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

If we can both sneak in a lap or two, we'll take mine (just don't tell Ken....I've heard about "Angry Ken".....). (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Marcin,

Autocross is Friday and Sat as I remember, I'll be there for both days of autocross. We are leaving on Thursday to run Friday/Saturday and head home early Sunday.

Marcin,

Autocross is Friday and Sat as I remember, I'll be there for both days of autocross. We are leaving on Thursday to run Friday/Saturday and head home early Sunday.

Hehe, good luck getting out on the roadcourse. Ken runs a VERY tight ship and there are no exceptions (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

As far as getting there on Thurs, you might want to try and get there Wednesday night. More than half the fun of the event occurs OFF the track so the more "chillin" time you have, the better. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

Oh yea, I'll be there, arriving as early on Weds as possible. This will be my 9th event and they get better and better every year.

I've heard about Ken's tight ship. I actually spoke to him on the phone for quite some time about the event one night (from Belgium no less) and I know he reads the board. So, I figured he'd see that one..... (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/thumbup.gif)

My friend is flying in from New York on Thursday morning and we are heading out when he lands. So, we will be arriving late on Thursday (I can't get there any sooner).

You might want to check here: http://fbody-event.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=12

Also, you might try the mailing list as it gets pretty decent traffic http://lists.f-body.org/mailman/listinfo/event

See you there! Look for me in the blue Formula in Group 1.

Loser..... (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

I was really hoping you'd make the event (but we knew that wasn't going to happen when you changed jobs). Oh well, it gives you an excuse to come back to hang out next year (if you've not already done so by then). The question is, what will we install this time?
