If you thought this post was real...you probably don't belong on FRRAX.

That's more or less what I was expecting to see. When I do my !Stereo I'm thinking of attempting to strip the face plate off of the head unit and glue all the buttons and such in place then attach it to the bezel so it "appears" to still be a fun head unit. Sure it's a few more ounces I could take out but I'm trying to keep my car looking "full interior" with the obvious exception of the roll bar and !BackSeat.

That is one "PIMP" stereoooo Dude!! (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) ........Last time I listened to mine was on the 1 hr 45 min trip to the track!

Personally, I could do without the stereo, wife thinks otherwise (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/cool2.gif)

The face plate comes off the radio easily and with all the buttons attached.

I can't belive I've been avoiding this thread with distaste for weeks! You had me fooled! (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

At the present time I'm trying to figure out how to get the "Monsoon" stereo plus 12 disc changer out of my SS to work in my tow vehicle. Anybody know if the wire harness has a plug for the amp and changer in a Silverado?

I don't know whether to laugh or to be insulted that you would think so low of me. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

I didn't really read past the title to even note who the author was.

BTW, can't you at least paint that pannel black and mount a couple gauges in it? (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

(IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) I thought about that but gauges would be pretty useless down there. I want an oil temp gauge for open tracking but I think it's too far down for me to look at while on course. It'll be black eventually. Although a friend of mine suggested I print up a picture of an expensive stereo faceplate from cruthfield and tape it there. I'm just having fun with people before I do paint it.

You could put a rotary switch on there connected to an electric cut-out, and label it "volume" (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)
