I was in negotiation for some parts with a user over there and now I can't get the site to come up.

Same song, second verse ...

http://www.borlascornertap.com/forums/show...93&page=1&pp=10

However, it appears this particular now only has 2 verses ...

Bye-bye LS1.com ....

That is truly a sad sad thing indeed. I recall in '98 when Hutch invited me over there to participate. I was on Rob Glover's 4th gen list at the time.

Surfing a message board was much better for me as I can't access personal e-mail from work.

When Hutch sold it to Bradley, everything was fine for a long time. Then, I'm not sure what went wrong, but Brad became very scatter-brained and the site took a real nose dive.

A sad day indeed ...

i think it was inevitable. from what i know about brad, the owner, i really don't see how it stayed up after the first round of problems. oh well better info to be found on LS1tech anyway.

and as mentioned at the end of that link, i think it would be very very smart if tony and prostockjohn could get ahold of the ls1.com name. but theres too much hate there i think for that to ever happen.

Perhaps LS1tech can buy the domain name later and have it refer to their site.

Brad is a freaking dumbass. The man was making around $80K a year through sponsors and wouldn't invest a couple thousand into a decent server. As far as I'm concerned it was dead as soon as LS1tech.com was started. I think the AX/RR section was the only hardcore tech related forum left there.

If you guys want to organize a charity car wash day and wash my car, come on over. :drive:

I'd love to make $80k off of this place.... Unfortunately, I'm closer to $8.

Too bad about ls1.com. I only posted about 300x there, mostly questions that got great answers. It was a great site...

that usually means he got behind on his hosting bill, so he backed everything up, bailed on the hosting company and is working a new deal w/ another sucker. i've seen this happen to close friends hosting for Brad and many times after that.

Anybody else have a problem logging onto this (FRRAX) site yesterday? I got some database error response, but obviously the site is now back up.
