I just registered for the 1-day Misery Bay region event, and will probably be at the july 27th fundayz, supposedly the last wednesday fundayz of the year. I hear the friday fundayz is full of the local riffraff, and I don't need to be on a track with those guys.
I'll be with a few other guys on the 24th for sure, but it would be nice to see some fbody guys out there besides myself.

i registered for the 24th, but then i later realized that i never sent in my scca membership, and i really don't think they'll let me run wtih them without it, so looks like i may only be able to do the funday on the 27th. i should get an email back tomarrow on how they want to handle it, but i really don't want to send 70 bucks to the scca just to do a single open lapping day. 3 or 4 of us were gonna go, but all in the same position right now.

whoopsie. anyways, i ordered hp+ pads today to get ready for it, i'm a bit rusty when it comes to driving now (thanks to school).

Keith, if you make it that would be cool, I remember meeting you at beaverun for a testntune probably 2 or more years ago

I remember you well, Miki. I also remember that you made a consious decision to get through with this school thing. ...How's progress?

I just realize the darn Fun day is a Wed.! I don't have any freaking vacation left - wife had a serious problem early this year. Long story. Won't go into it.

There are lots of Beaver Run lapping days...

I am going to NL for the MBR event, I'm a member of the Region. It would be nice to have more F-bods there.
We have enough cars to run the event at this point, and there is a meeting Monday to discuss status. I don't know if we can open it up to non SCCA members, I would like to see that happen. I don't understand why others feel it should be restricted.
Keith, we could use more instructors, that would save you the entry fee.

Mike, that is very tempting. Financially, it's been a tough year.

My car is in pieces on the garage floor at the moment. I am just checking messages and taking a break...

When do you need to know for sure? Is there going to be consideration for late entries?

Finally, I am an SCCA member so no problem there,

PS I think it's GREAT that the SCCA is starting to have lapping days!

Keith,
For instructors, probably can sign up until they feel they have enough. We don't have that many students, but if we keep taking entries, that will change. They should be a ton of track time for everyone.
If you want to sign up as a driver, sooner is better. We are past deadline, but we will take entries for a few more days.

Keith, I hope your wife is doing better now. And hopefully you can get your car and everything else sorted out. Me, i'm still in school, but not doing that great, i have about 30-40 credit hours towards my 137 cr hours for my mechanical engineering degree complete.

Mike, I don't think we will be able to make it, i don't think anyone of us is willing to join the scca over a single event at this point, and that drives the cost of it up quite a bit, sure, we are cheapasses, but thats how we look at it. I got an email from Bill Stewart tonight, he was willing to cut us a deal, but we still need to become scca members, I understand there is probably a legality there, but we probably wont do it. nothing against the scca, but 70$ is alot for a shitty magazine subscription, and well, i'm just a student that works fulltime, I started analyzing how i spend my money in the past year or so.

anyways, weather permitting, i'm gonna do the 120$ funday at nelsons on the 27th.

if something changes i'll post it here though. have fun at the tracks, i still havent gone to one this year (and only a single autocross too).

Miki
