I meant to say something about CMC West and how the different cars are doing, both 4th and 3rd gens are top 10 cars consistently. 4th gens seem to be finishing a bit better. At California Speedway they ruled setting a new track record even!

That's my view. I tend to prefer fourth gen cars, at least autocrossing. I think part of it is that a lot of the third gen autocross cars are automatics, and I really don't like autocrossing automatics. <shrug>

I think overall, the two cars are pretty much equals for autocross. Each one has its own strengths and weaknesses, that make up the difference.
