I'm posting this for a friend/customer - I spent 2 yrs building up this car for him and he has lost interest in the sport, wants out. This car has some of Blaine Fab's best work - he spent way, way more than the asking price in fab labor alone. I'd sure like to see this car on a racetrack again.

dammm... I was just talking about a similar Vette project this week-end for in 1-2 years timeframe.
MAN !!! timing is bad, but I'm really interested (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/banghead.gif) (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/banghead.gif) (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/banghead.gif) (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/banghead.gif)
Just bought a new house, and can't for now... (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/rant2.gif)
Unless I keep the freebie (car) and you can still sell the wheels. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/rotf.gif)

I didn't loose interest, I just haven't worked in 8 months and my wife is going to throw me out if I don't sell it.
I'm back at work but I still need to bring some lump sum money in the door.

This car is truly amazing, no F body is worthy of comparison, don't bother, really it isn't.
Very few vette racecars will compare to it. The Statistics/ numbers alone are staggering. We can compare it to Scotty B's Nakid racing T1 C5 Corvette that set the scca track record at almost every track on the west coast last year.
T1 3200 #. C4R 2800#,
405 hp 600 hp
3.54 3.73
stock brakes Wilwoods
tires comparable
Chassis stiffness comparable

Now I (or You) just need driving lessons from Scotty)

On the old 350 hp motor we were within 1/2 a second of Alan Blaine's fastest race winning lap at Laguna and I don't claim to be nearly as good a driver as Alan. (Sorry Alan, Thanks for Posting)

I will copy the verbage from the Ebay ad:

This is a custom build up, Full race C4 with good track history and podium 2004 finishes. Classes include SCCA ITE/SPO, NASA Super Unlimited and Vette Viper Challenge (VX), It is also a great car for Nevada/Texas Open Road Racing and could compete in World Land Speed Record, (Bonneville) Modified Gas Sports if you want to join the 200 MPH Club. The frame/body started as a 1988 Z52. The build up began in Fall 2003 and the car started racing in Spring 2004. Currently holds Annual NASA 2004 and SCCA Logbooks 2005 Annual Racetech All custom fabrication was done by Blaine Fabrication in Sunnyvale, CA. She has a custom 12 point Cage with NASCAR doorbars, Dash Bar, Crossed backstays, Passenger X bar w extra reinforcement, Custom Jacking points with jigs, Master switch on left corner, Fully Gusseted, etc, by Alan Blaine Fabrication. The welds are so nice they give you goose bumps to run your fingers over Lexan Front window (with 3 supports) and moulded lexan rear hatch, Hood has custom Harwood Scoop, detachable front carbon spliter, rear 5 Star/Custom NASCAR style 6" spoiler, C5-West Motorsports body kit w underbelly tray. Custom 4 lb roof panel, NACA front brake ducts. 1.75" SS headers by Howe. Custom 4" oval SS exhaust with trackside interchangable 92db and 102 db Flowmaster Mufflers, Canton Billet remote oil filter on billet plate, Weaver drysump pump and Patterson 3 Gal. tank enclosed in custom Aluminum box with passive air venting exiting the rear, all -12AN braided line. 3 qt Accusump with Manual Lever at driver's fingertips for Preoiling History In 4 SCCA ITE races at Laguna Seca in 2004 finished as follows, First race on the buildup, 7th place, (ran in 5th but let 2 friends pass who were running for series points), 4th, 3rd, 2nd. These were all 40-60 car fields I am no great driver, this is a very capable car. I can't rebuild motor at present time and need to sell over family issues. Wife says it goes or I go. This awsome car took over $50,000 to build. No expense was spared. It is seriously for sale far below market value My loss is your gain, and it hurts. Delivery to Seattle area, Thunder Hill Raceway, Willows, CA. and other similar areas avaialbe at no extra charge. 2003 Pace American Shadow 24' enclosed trailer maybe available seperately after the sale

It was built as an ultimate race car and I think we very much achieved that goal.

Thanks
Evan

I'll go out on a limb and say:
1) There's no way to make that CA street legal.
2) You wouldn't take a '97 old'n'busted Camaro in partial trade.

Otherwise, I'd be all over that. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I saw this on e-bay last night and thought I recognized the car from Alan's photo gallery.

Good luck on the sale, the car looks like it's got some amazing work in it and it's worth the asking price.
