Speed Blurb:

SPEED Test Drive Blurb

I think I'll be recording this one on the DVD/HD Recorder.

A C6R is supposed to make an appearance also!

Jesus Christ the C6R is fast coming down the hill. I don't know how they do it.

Anyone notice Gordon getting it loose and rapidly correcting? Had a shocked look on his face before he caught it. Whatever happened to "slow hands"? And "stars" or not, where's the helmets and safety gear? O'Connell wore it driving the C6R.

I think Gordon was just playing, thus the hands, but I do always wonder why they don't at least have a helmet on? They were going about 150mph many times.

Ever watch "Wally's World Ride on NBC"? Half the time the passenger's belts and helmet are very loose.

I enjoyed the show but it really didn't focus much on "test driving". Previous shows seemed like they had more analyses of the car...

The show is availabe for download off of the corvette forum. I enjoyed it since RA is my home track and I have been there many times.
The car, when outfitted with track pads, and track tires is going to be a monster. I would bet on 1:35's at RA with a good driver. I too thought it was
funny that the guys didn't even have a helmet. I was hoping for some lap times, the only speed I saw was a high 14x mph. In my 01 z06 I can hit 150 on the back straight so that was not much of an insight.

Yeah, from the way they were talking I thought they were actually going to race it against a F430, Carrera GT, etc. Bummer.

I've seen shows they've done with other cars, it was exactly the same way. They take two of the cars in question, tint the windows black as night, higher someone famous, and banter back and forth while driving. It's not the high tech, full throttle test, like magazines do, but still entertaining to some extent.
