i have a co-worker that wrecked his Z28 some time ago..

the car slid sideways into a pole..

140,000 miles on the motor and it has allready been pulled out of the car

you get the car, motor, rear end, driveshaft, tranny... (he says he still has everything)

he's asking for about $1000

the car is in the north side of Fort Worth

Damn It! You know I want to convert my 96 ZR28 to a 6 speed. What do you need it for Mitch? (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/banghead.gif) (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/drink.gif)

Kevin, I need a 6 speed case to make a nice planter for the front of my shop.

I'm thinking of maybe a nice splash of pansies for the cool winter months and then maybe some bagonias for the summer months. My shop faces east, so the hot summer sun won't get to them.

Thoughts?

You buy an original LGM ZR28 with an automatic? What were you thinking?

First, It was an auto when I bought it used from an eye doctor who want all of the huff but the ease of driving in traffic. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/whip.gif) It was a stock LT1 with a 10lb Paxton on it and some of Lou's other goodies. The stock motor didn't like the power adder. I pulled it and put a well but LT4 in and a Vortec T trim with an after cooler. I finished the car with big brakes and all of Lou's Suspension goodies :drive: and a T2R Diff. The 3rd time rebuilt auto with all of goods lasted for about 500 street miles and a few good street races. I decided for the same money as rebuilding the auto I could upgrade to a 6 speed. Since then I have been on the hunt for a conversion set up. It always happens when I don't have the money or when I do they aren't around. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/banghead.gif) (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/rant2.gif)

Secondly, What shop do you have Mitch? I didn't know you had a shop. Are you building cmc cars now or what? (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

I may have to buy an entire car to have a map for the conversion. It looks like I could buy a car for about $5k and sell it as an auto for about the same.

Does Mitch and Glenn want to help convert? (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/thumbup.gif) (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/burnout.gif)

PS: Sorry to High Jack your Thread! (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) :leaving:
