i don't waste my time on the corvette forums... (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/banghead.gif) (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/banghead.gif) (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/banghead.gif) (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/banghead.gif)

the one that really took the cake (i think on z06vette.com) was a slacker who posted a pic of his car at the dragstip... 30 posts later there was 1 post asking what he ran and 29 posts saying nice wax job - it's zaino. I lost several brain cells reading that thread that I will never go back (and all this time I was blaming the bottle of vodka I drank in Russia)

I agree. Thats why I started along the f-body road long ago. Much more tech & knowledgable support... Its been down hill ever since (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

I never go into any other section, but the PCM reprogramming section on LS1 tech. There is still some crap to weed through, but it's not as bad. Plus there is some good info there (PCM section) for those who want to learn.

oh don't even start me on the moronisms spread on forums, and i'd say PCM section is one of the worse (although is getting better, due to consistant head bashing from few ppl that actually know what they're doing).
These ppl will take so much completely on faith, but when i present them with math and physics and scientific experimentation they jump on my throat, simply because it goes against what's been admited as 'truth' before. it's a contest of who's more public/loud/obnoxious about their finds than who's methodology's cleaner.
they really test my patience sometimes, as their complete lack of patience and knowledge of anything remotely scientific gets in a way of spreading what i consider (only after extensive validation by experimentation) to be correct. the only reason why i keep correcting and demonstrating my point time after time is to populate the forums enough that the 'signal to noise ratio' improves.

keep on fighting the good fight, and one day maybe we won't have to explain why drilled rotors are not really worth it.
yea, right (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

I read that forum a couple times, it was painful. CZ28.com is just as bad. There are some knowledgable folks, but the signal to noise ratio is terrible.

those "drifters" ... they crack me up, sometimes ...

And the crazy thing about it is I know those guys ... used to autocross with them. The guy named McCall trying to sell his car in the classifieds section also knows them. They are really nice guys.

I think they take their sport and/or the internet way too serious, though ...

Hey Mitch..............THANKS!!!!!!! my special rotors did not come with "Pipe" cleaners.............man a about pissed my pants (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

LS1Tech has really went downhill. I remember when all the mindless fbody punks hung out at the SLP forum . . . then SLP pulled the plug on that forum and a lot of them took up residence at LS1Tech.

I think I'm finished trying to save people from the Strut Tower Brace trap. You get them staightened out one day, and a couple days later there is a thread with 30 testimonials of "I put a STB on my car and felt an immediate improvement, the car was totally changed!" The SLP people went to Chirpthird.com LS1tech's undoing is a combo of LS1.com's demise and younger kids and punks acquiring LS1's as the prices come down.

You really want bad, LS2.com is your site.

Yea, I decided to leave those alone as well. The first one has elves in his rotors....that explains the bumps. Or, maybe his rotors have a case of the mumps?

The second one has me puzzled. Maybe he has the ratchet set backwards, or he's using a breaker bar and pulling it the wrong way.....

Sometimes I just want to hand out bans like lolly pops overthere just for the people who post stupid stuff thats already been covered.

(IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/rotf.gif)

(IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/thumbup.gif)

By the way, I saved the stuff from my website if you need any of it (since the links are dead). Drop me a line and I'll send you what you need.

Im not sure ill need it, people don't search anyway so its not gona do them any good. I do need the pics from the explanation of the 2 pc rotors that you did, but I think thats about it.

When I tell them to search before they post, they think im being a dick about it (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) I didnt cover warped rotors in any of the writeups, but its such a common problem that you would think people would catch on to it.

That is some of the most entertaining stuff I have ever read (I've read them a couple times now too). At the time though it's gets quite frustrating. The same expierence seems to be had on the majority of boards out there.

Good to know I'm not the only one.
