During a Phoenix region autocross school on 12/3, there was a serious accident involving a vehicle striking a participant. The injury sustained by Richard Vela has changed his life. He has had multiple surgeries so far and is recovering well from the injury. He's actually an amazing guy because his attitude and spirit is very positive.

Update - One of our locals went to visit Richard tonight and this is what he had to say:
"I went and saw Richard tonight and dropped off the cd with the Juno software for the dial up account Chad sent up. Richard was very excited to have internet access. Kudos to Chad!!!! He was a little overwhelmed with what to post to thank everybody. Not to sound like a broken record, but he has a wonderful attitude. It made my heart smile. " |
