Anyone know what the part number is, or hardware equivalent, of the front lower controll arm bolts? I am going to get my old ones out at whatever expense, sine they are frozen in there, and I want new ones to put back in there.
So, anyone know what size they are or GM part numbers? |

It'd help if you mentioned something about your car...third gen, fourth gen, etc.

Try GM P/N 10229835 & 10164163 for the bolts, and P/N 3537773 should get you a 5-pack of the M14 prevailing torque nuts.

Unless you already have a good working relationship with your local parts guy, you might want to check www.gmpartsdirect.com first, to get an idea of what the dealer cost is.
Most parts managers get paid off of commissions, so it's to their advantage to overcharge, and people don't realize that parts prices are every bit as negotiable as car prices. I buy all my stuff from Dal, but if I was buying from a local counter, I'd offer about 15-20% above what's listed on gmpartsdirect. Maybe you already knew all that. It's just that I tend to cringe a bit when I hear someone say they're going to the dealership. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) |

I am very aware of gmpartsdirect.com.... but they have screwed me in the past and lost my shipments and never refunded me. I work with a local dealer and they give me the gmpartsdirect price. Its the only way to go.

I've had very good luck buying OEM parts fron Gene Culley at Fred Bean Pontiac, Buick, GMC. Good prices, quick service, and knowledgable advice. Gene seems to know quite a bit about GM performance stuff.

Another good place for factory gm parts is gmpartscheap.com It is regular dealership that sells online and does not charge outrageous shipping prices and delivery time like gmpartsdirect.com I have ordered from gmpartscheap.com and ordered over the phone with questions and such and their customer service has been EXCELLENT!
