My season was allmost over before it began! I took the car out today for the first time in 3 months to test drive/ season the brake's, well i stopped at the parts store to return a tool, and after leaving the store just 2 mile's into my trip this damm honduh pulls right out in front of me (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/rant.gif) It was everything the new pads had(xp11) and me turning into the same alley they were pullying out of not to hit this dumb.....!

I was soooooooo mad that all of the hard work, time, and money was allmost gone in a flash! And just 5 day's from the first event of the year!

Other than that, the car ran great with all the new stuff from Jason, Sam, GW, Carbotech, Summit, and so many more (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/2thumbs.gif) (oh yeah and all of you!)

Except for a fuse that pops everytime i hit the power locks (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Ok rant over!

Glad you were able to avoid a disaster.

There is nothing wrong with a street-legal race car. Just pay attention to the weight and there is no reason that a street and emissions-legal CMC car can't be competitive.

PS How do you think I tested my "new" T2R? (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

checked your wires yet? sounds like you either have a bad ground or a power wire making contact with ground when you hit the switch...better check it out before it causes a fire.

other than that...i was in my jeep and had a similar accident almost happen. but instead i just went off the street onto the grass and into the ditch. it was fun for my first time offroading. i was still furious though (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/drink.gif)

Gotta luv new car drivers. When they get behind the wheel for the first time, a lot of them think they're hot s*** when in actuality, they ain't s***.

Had an Accord driver that started to follow me in SD like he was giving me a challenge and well, when I took a steep corner on an exit, and he tried to follow, they must've understeered and went off the road. Talk about imprudence.

I don't understand why some new car drivers would like to kill their car before its time. even if there is no accident, they're subjecting their engine to premature wear.

Not meant to be a "kill" story, just stating my observation of some of those newbie car drivers. Like any driver, the only ones I have respect for are those who have good tools, while not being tools themselves.

That's how I felt when I was forced into a pot-canyon (bendinging the front end) exactly one week after I had the car handling better (and faster) than it ever had before.

Oh well, at least the brakes saved you. I've been thankful for my improved braking (from pads and suspension changes) several times in daily driving, especially since the population of unlicensed, uninsured, and unskilled drivers has increased dramatically here in the last few years.

What's worse, is when you've just rebuilt a motor, been tuning it for a good 2 or 3 weeks, faught with hot starting problems the whole time, and then wreck the car because some lady (older than dirt) has a senior moment thinking the red light she has been sitting at turns green just because there hasn't been traffic for a while. $@(*$& pushed the strut tower in 2", bent the strut tower brace and crossmember, cracked the windshield, and sent half the fiberglass/plastic on the front of her car through my open window at me. I wound up in oncoming lanes, she spun 90 degrees and blew her motor because she let it idle while all of the coolant was pouring out... right towards my car so I could slip on it when I went to get my info for the cops.

I used to have a '64 Plymouth Valiant, from the days before dual master cylinders. Someone that was confused by the lights T-boned me (hard) and spun it around, crushing the brake line that ran beside the rocker panel. The good ol' slant 6 coughed a moment, caught, and lurched the car forward. I had just barely enough time to stab the brake pedal to the floor exactly once, and no time left to shut it off, before my car rammed the car that hit it first. The Plymouth was totalled by the first impact, but at least it got in the last lick (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)
