I wanted to thank Mitch, Glenn, Nick, Virginia, Kevin, Jeff, Beverly and the rest of the Texas crew for allowing me to hang out with them this weekend and share the CMC nationals experience. It was great to meet you guys and I look forward to doing it again next year. You guys let me hang out, get in the way and even offered me cold beverages and a place to sleep. That's more than a guy can ask for. I also want to thank Todd Covini for the use of his camera, his hospitality (offering another place to sleep) and for stocking the bar (he's not too bad for a Ford guy..... (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) ).

I met many of the frrax crew this weekend and I'm really glad to get a chance to meet everyone. We'll have to do this again.

About the only frrax guy you did not see is the one that lives closest to the track! I will have to try and make it next year.

Thanks to us?

Thanks to YOU!

Your help was invaluable. You deserve a LOT of credit for Glenn's finish. YOU found, picked up and delivered the parts Glenn broke on Saturday. God knows how much gas and wear and tear on the car you did chasing an underdrive pulley belt down.

It's YOU we are in debt to.

And the FRRAX decals made the car and GRMS

Nah, I'm local. My part was easy, I did a little driving (gee, having to drive my Camaro is such punishment (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) ), made a few calls and played with my laptop and GPS. Goofed off most of the weekend and drove an hour home. If you guys come back up in a few days, I'd do it all again next weekend. My part was easy. You guys built race cars, ran various events and then drove about 1,000 miles to land in Ohio.

I'd still love to know how that bracket broke.

And, for cranking out fast laps with no power steering.....

Glenn is The Man. (just ask him)

Not sure if this is the reason, but Glenn was thinking that maybe the alternator lost a fan blade and the vibration at high RPM did it in.

Just the info I heard, no guarentees on it being right or the current diagnosis.

I wished we knew. That is certainly a possibility.

Thanks for stopping by, TJ. It was great to talk with you a while. Get the car prepped and get on the track.
